REVIEW OF THE ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY OF HYDROGEN CLUSTER PROJECTS IN RUSSIA
Abstract
The depletion of fossil energy resources, as well as the detrimental impact of the use of these resources on the environment, encourages countries and companies to invest in new research and projects that will help avoid environmental catastrophe and energy shortages in the future. Hydrogen energy has become one of such promising areas. In this paper, we will review the economic efficiency of ongoing projects in Russia to create five hydrogen clusters aimed at exporting hydrogen, the first of which is the eastern hydrogen cluster in the Sakhalin region, which will start operating by 2025.
