Abstract

Demand forecasting is currently a critical element of the successful operation of all enterprises, including those engaged in the production and sale of food products. Without an accurate demand forecast, it is impossible to effectively manage inventories, plan production, develop marketing strategies and, ultimately, ensure business profitability. Demand forecasting affects the success of enterprises in various fields. The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of demand forecasting for goods and services as a factor in the success of enterprises operating in the field of production and sale of food products, using the example of individual entrepreneur (peasant farm) Zhumabaev Zh. T. and Vikont LLC. The article considers the role of demand forecasting as a key factor in the success of enterprises operating in the field of production and sale of food products. Using the example of individual entrepreneur (peasant farm) Zhumabaev Zh. T. and Vikont LLC, the features of the use of demand forecasting in their purchasing activities, production management, as well as development prospects taking into account effective forecasting are analyzed. The main methods of demand forecasting at the present stage, the problems faced by enterprises and possible solutions to them are discussed.
