Abstract

Ensuring individual economic security is increasingly important in managing organizational structures at all system levels in modern Russia. We do not address issues of cybersecurity or fraud protection here. The essence of this theoretical study is the development of a differentiated approach to calculating employee income when receiving monthly salaries. General approaches and methods for calculating average and median wages are examined, including for regions of the Russian Federation. Essential components of ensuring individual economic security include not only material but also socio-legal aspects—that is, not only the physical receipt of a decent, fair wage by workers but also the provision of actual data. If people are dissatisfied with official data on average and median wages, say, in their region, they should be provided with alternative calculations and comparative indicators. In the current climate of digital accessibility and the expansion of electronic government services, citizens can be provided with socio-legal and economic personal security (taking into account cybersecurity) and actual data on their average salaries.
