Abstract

Faced with the challenges of limited access to reliable quantitative data in Côte d'Ivoire, our study adopts an innovative semi-quantitative approach, blending targeted numerical analyses with qualitative insights into local realities. On the CSR/ESG reports of 10 Ivorian companies listed on the BRVM, the TF (Term Frequency) methodology powered by a Python script in Google Colab, we obtained ESG scores out of 10, ranging from a maximum of 9.38 to a minimum of 0.5.

This stark disparity signals a dynamically transitioning market, where TF analysis serves as a predictive barometer to guide investors and public policies toward uniform ESG maturity.

Supported by expert opinions and case studies in the qualitative analysis, we propose an optimistic forecast for the positive development of ESG investment in Côte d'Ivoire, subject to certain conditions.
