SEA TRANSPORTATION MARKET OF THE MURMANSK REGION AND PROSPECTS FOR ITS DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

Abstract: the article considers the role of the port infrastructure of the Murmansk region for the development and functioning of the Arctic territories of the Russian Federation. The scale and potential of the local industry and transport complex is assessed. Based on the data on companies ' activities in the sea freight market, the market character is analyzed and the risk of its monopolization and oligopolization is assessed using the indicator method. The study of price dynamics will allow us to conclude that there is a competitive struggle between the largest representatives and assess the prospects for the emergence of oligopoly collusion.
