ANALYSIS OF THE LEGAL AND REGULATORY FRAMEWORK OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT WASTE MANAGEMENT
Abstract
The article discusses the relevance and disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), collects information on legislative and regulatory documents in the field of handling e-waste, Analyzes the experience of various countries in the field of WEEE. The relevance of the correct management of e-waste is due to the fact that the number of WEEE in the world is increasing, which has a negative impact on human health and the environment. An analysis of the current regulatory documents in the countries of the European Union, CIS, EAEU in the field of e-waste management was carried out, which showed that today the management system with e-waste is at the initial stage of development. This area requires more attention from the state. One of the main challenges to the formation of an e-waste industry in countries is the low level of waste collection. In the legislation of the countries, either the obligation of consumers to hand over unnecessary equipment to licensed assemblers is not spelled out, or this norm has not yet been introduced or has not been sufficiently worked out. Today, the e-waste management system is most developed in the countries of the European Union.
