EFFECTS OF APPLICATION OF ENABLING TECHNOLOGIES IN TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS

Abstract

The article discusses promising technologies in transport systems, such as smart sensors, communications, blockchain, digital platforms, big data and artificial intelligence. Also environmental, social and economic effects are analyzed in the field of transport systems from the introduction of advanced technologies. The effects of the promising technologies discussed in this article are in many cases with limited evidence of impact (as evidence is often available for only a small number of pilot projects) or research.
