ENVIRONMENTAL ASPECTS OF MANAGEMENT OF INDUSTRIAL PARKS IN RUSSIA

Abstract

The concept of eco-industrial parks is based on reducing the environmental impact (ecological footprint) by replacing toxic materials, carbon dioxide absorption, material exchange and integrated waste treatment, conserving materials by designing and building facilities, reusing materials, maximizing energy efficiency by designing and building industrial facilities. In Russia, this concept is not yet widespread, but since at the moment the country is developing industrial parks and technoparks. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to analyze environmental aspects and see how they are taken into account in the design and operation of industrial parks and technoparks. As a result of the study, we concluded that the concept of eco-industrial park is not yet applied in Russia; only about 1% of industrial parks in the country has clear environmental policy.
