NATIONAL PROJECTS AS AN INSTITUTIONAL FRAMEWORK FOR POVERTY REDUCTION IN THE REGIONS (THE EXAMPLE OF THE VOLGOGRAD REGION)
Abstract
Using the example of the Volgograd region, the problem of combating poverty within the frame-work of the economic policy of income and employment is discussed. National projects aimed at developing the social infrastructure of the regions are considered as one of the instruments of this policy. The relationship between the volume of shipped goods, works, and services and the number of employees, as well as the level of average wages in the regions of the Southern Federal District, has been shown. The measures contributing to poverty reduction and the creation of the basis for the stable development of the region are considered.
