THE POPULARITY OF DIFFERENT PRACTICES OF PRO-ECOLOGICAL BEHAVIOR IN RUSSIA
Abstract
The development of pro-ecological behavior is one of the main goals on the way to the transition to circular patterns of production and consumption. The modern system of school and university education in many countries of the world has a significant positive impact on the formation and promotion of various models of consumer behavior in the public consciousness, the widespread introduction of which can have a significant impact on the state of the environment. Despite the fact that the unpreparedness of technologies and infrastructure to provide such models of consumer behavior can hinder the introduction of pro-ecological models of consumer behavior, world literature shows that it is cultural (values, traditions, etc.) and economic (price, taxes) barriers that have the most significant influence on which of the practices of pro-ecological behavior are widespread and which are not.
In this paper, we study the popularity of various practices of pro-ecological behavior among residents of Russia. The research method is distance survey with subsequent processing of the results by methods of descriptive and nonparametric statistics. Among the factors influencing the popularity of a particular practice, the age of the respondent, his economic activity and participation in the educational process were considered.
